The Whitney Wildcats basketball team scored 85 points and held the host West Trojans to 72 in the Wildcats league triumph on Tuesday.

The Wildcats now sport a 17-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clifton for a 3A Region III District 17 contest on Friday, January 27. Whitney will battle a Cubs team coming off a 61-44 league loss to Maypearl (Maypearl, TX). The Cubs record now stands at 9-14.

The Trojans (4-20) will now prepare for their contest against Keene (Keene, TX). The Chargers enter the 3A Region III District 17 contest with a 21-7 record.
