January 24, 2023: Blue Mountain, MS 38610 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Blue Mountain Cougars (Blue Mountain, MS) and the visiting Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), saw Blue Mountain's basketball squad wallop Myrtle by a count of 57-33.
With the victory, Blue Mountain upgrades its record to 17-4 on the campaign. The Cougars host Senatobia (Senatobia, MS) to play the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 27. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 2-4. Senatobia lost 36-28 in their recent league challenge against Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS)
Next up, the Hawks play the Wheeler Eagles (Wheeler, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 26. Myrtle will attempt to upgrade on its 5-16 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 10-12 record after their 48-35 league win over Thrasher (Booneville, MS).
