The Hoover Buccaneers basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Vestavia Hills Rebels to 45 in the Buccaneers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Buccaneers now sport a 26-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bartlett for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 28.

The Rebels (23-3) will now prepare for their contest against Thompson (Alabaster, AL). The Warriors enter the 7A Area 5 contest with a 17-9 record. In their last contest, Thompson nudged Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL), 49-48, in a league contest.
