Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA) and the visiting Huntington Beach Oilers (Huntington Beach, CA), saw Edison's basketball squad hold off Huntington Beach by a tally of 47-41.

With the victory, Edison advances its record to 19-6 on the season. The Chargers host Fountain Valley (Fountain Valley, CA) to encounter the Barons in a Surf test on Friday, January 26. The Barons go into the test with a record of 15-10. Fountain Valley lost 72-70 in their recent non-league test against Marina (Huntington Beach, CA)

The Oilers now own a 14-11 record. They play next when they travel to Corona del Mar for a Wave test on Friday, January 26. Huntington Beach will encounter a Sea Kings squad coming off a 75-74 non-league loss to Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA). The Sea Kings record now stands at 20-5.
