Granville Central Panthers (Stem, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Vance County Vipers (Henderson, NC), 62-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Granville Central upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Panthers travel to Carrboro (Carrboro, NC) to clash with the Jaguars in a 2A/3A Northern Lakes bout on Friday, January 26. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 8-8. Carrboro lost 96-71 in their recent league game against South Granville (Creedmoor, NC)

With the defeat, Vance County moves to 6-9 on the year. The Vipers host Southern Durham (Durham, NC) to face the Spartans in a 2A/3A Northern Lakes game on Friday, January 26. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 10-4. Southern Durham won 91-26 in their recent league game against J.F. Webb (Oxford, NC)
