January 24, 2024: Lexington, KY 40509 Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Frederick Douglass Broncos (Lexington, KY) and the visiting Scott County Cardinals (Georgetown, KY), saw Frederick Douglass's basketball squad wallop Scott County by a tally of 77-56.
With the victory, Frederick Douglass improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Broncos travel to Ryle (Union, KY) to confront the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 12-7. Ryle won 59-36 in their recent non-league challenge against Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Sayre Spartans (Lexington, KY) in a District 42 challenge, on Friday, January 26. Scott County will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 3-16 record after their 52-44 non-league loss to Burgin (Burgin, KY).
