The Mt. Zion Eagles basketball team scored 63 points and limited the host Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers to 58 in the Eagles league triumph on Friday.

The Eagles now possess a 11-7 record. They play next when they travel to Haralson County for a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. Mt. Zion will confront a Rebels team coming off a 69-46 league loss to Heard County (Franklin, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 2-12.

With the loss, Atlanta Classical Academy falls to 8-10 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Elite Scholars Academy (Jonesboro, GA) to confront the Royal Knights in a A D2 Region 7 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Royal Knights go into the game with a record of 4-15. Elite Scholars Academy lost 51-45 in their recent league game against Bowdon (Bowdon, GA)
