In Friday's league test, the Belton Tigers (Belton, TX) basketball squad got by the visiting University Trojans (Waco, TX), by a score of 69-65.

Next, the Tigers clash with the Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 test, on Tuesday, January 28. Belton will attempt to improve on its 24-5 season record. The Bobcats come into the test with a 18-11 record after their 60-37 league win over Waco (Waco, TX).

The Trojans (21-7) will now prepare for their test against Ellison (Killeen, TX). The Eagles come into the 5A Region II District 16 test with a 21-5 record. In their last test, Ellison held off Lake Belton (Temple, TX), 94-48, in a league test.
