Alabama High School Basketball - Sulligent can't hold off Chickasaw
January 24, 2025: Chickasaw, AL 36611 Chickasaw Chieftains (Chickasaw, AL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Sulligent Blue Devils (Sulligent, AL), 49-45 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Chickasaw advances its record to 9-10 on the year. The Chieftains host St. Luke's Episcopal (Mobile, AL) to face the Wildcats in a 2A Area 1 match on Friday, January 24. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 2-19.
The Blue Devils now own a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red Bay for a 2A Area 10 match on Friday, January 24. Sulligent will face a Tigers squad coming off a 67-38 non-league win over Covenant Christian (Tuscumbia, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 15-7.
