Ohio High School Basketball - Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy can't hold off Padua Franciscan
January 24, 2025: Parma, OH 44134 Padua Franciscan Bruins (Parma, OH) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy Royals (Cuyahoga Falls, OH), 50-46 in a league match.
With the victory, Padua Franciscan advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Bruins travel to Lake Catholic (Mentor, OH) to face the Cougars in a North Coast match on Saturday, January 25. The Cougars enter the match with a record of 7-5. Lake Catholic won 65-56 in their recent non-league match against John Marshall (Cleveland, OH)
The Royals now own a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Vincent-St. Mary for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy will face a Fighting Irish squad coming off a 72-51 non-league loss to Reynoldsburg (Reynoldsburg, OH). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 7-6.
