The East Wake Academy Eagles basketball squad (Zebulon, NC), was crushed 76-46 in Friday's league battle with the host Franklin Academy Patriots (Wake Forest, NC)

With the victory, Franklin Academy advances its record to 14-6 on the year. The Patriots travel to Falls Lake (Creedmoor, NC) to meet the Firebirds in a 1A/2A Super Six battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Firebirds enter the battle with a record of 4-11. Falls Lake lost 59-49 in their recent league battle against NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC)

The Eagles now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wake Prep Academy for a 1A/2A Super Six battle on Monday, January 27. East Wake Academy will meet a Guardians squad coming off a 59-21 league win over Raleigh Charter (Raleigh, NC). The Guardians record now stands at 16-2.
