With the victory, Slaton upgrades its record to 22-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Idalou (Idalou, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 3A Region I District 2 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 17-10. Idalou won 66-52 in their recent league match against Roosevelt (Lubbock, TX)
The Chieftans now sport a 4-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host Shallowater for a 3A Region I District 2 match on Tuesday, January 28. Friona will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 51-46 league win over Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 11-4.
