California High School Basketball - Healdsburg tipped by Ukiah
January 24, 2025: Healdsburg, CA 95448 The Ukiah Wildcats got by the host Healdsburg Greyhounds basketball squad by a final score of 68-65 in Friday's league outing.
Next, the Wildcats clash with the Piner Prospectors (Santa Rosa, CA) in a North Bay - Redwood outing, on Tuesday, January 28. Ukiah will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Prospectors come into the outing with a 14-8 record after their 59-56 league win over Rancho Cotate (Rohnert Park, CA).
The Greyhounds (8-13) will now prepare for their outing against St. Vincent de Paul (Petaluma, CA). The Mustangs come into the North Bay - Redwood outing with a 12-8 record. In their last outing, St. Vincent de Paul held off Elsie Allen (Santa Rosa, CA), 60-31, in a league outing.
Fourth Quarter
Throughout the game we rallied and in the fourth the team put it together and came out with the win. Healdsburg made a basket with 4.2 seconds left in the game and we were still up, our pg held the ball at baseline to run out the clock. The officials decided to not end the game and add 12 seconds and they tied it up this time to send us into overtime. The team rallied again in overtime to get the win again. All this without Zach, a key player. Big ups for to these young men!
