Mississippi High School Basketball - Quitman holds off Mendenhall
January 24, 2025: Quitman, MS 39355 The Quitman Panthers basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Mendenhall Tigers to 41 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now have a 13-6 record. They play next when they host Northeast Jones for a 4A Region 5 game on Monday, January 27. Quitman will confront a Tigers team coming off a 43-35 league win over Forest (Forest, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 4-16.
With the loss, Mendenhall falls to 14-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Forest (Forest, MS) to confront the Bearcats in a 4A Region 5 game on Tuesday, January 28. The Bearcats go into the game with a record of 3-14. Forest lost 43-35 in their recent league game against Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS)
