In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Mountain Lakes Lakers basketball team scored a close 50-45 win over the Parsippany Redhawks.

The Lakers (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ). The Crusaders come into the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Morris Catholic edged West Caldwell Tech (West Caldwell, NJ), 92-62, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Redhawks battle the Parsippany Hills Vikings (Parsippany, NJ) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 27. Parsippany will attempt to better on its 6-6 season record.
