January 24, 2025: Saegertown, PA 16433 Saegertown Panthers (Saegertown, PA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Northwestern Wildcats (Albion, PA), 59-47 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Saegertown upgrades its record to 11-3 on the year. The Panthers travel to Rocky Grove (Franklin, PA) to face the Orioles in a District 10 Region 2 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Orioles enter the match with a record of 13-2. Rocky Grove won 78-44 in their recent league match against Cambridge Springs (Cambridge Springs, PA)
The Wildcats now sport a 4-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North East for a District 10 Region 6 match on Tuesday, January 28. Northwestern will face a Grape Pickers squad coming off a 84-38 non-league loss to McDowell (Erie, PA). The Grape Pickers record now stands at 5-9.
