January 24, 2025: Walnut, MS 38683 Walnut Wildcats (Walnut, MS) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Hatley Tigers (Amory, MS), 70-30 in a league match.
With the victory, Walnut improves its record to 22-2 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Falkner (Falkner, MS) to encounter the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 25. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 13-6. Falkner won 57-16 in their recent league challenge against Myrtle (Myrtle, MS)
In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Mantachie Mustangs (Mantachie, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Hatley will attempt to improve on its 12-8 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 5-21 record after their 61-28 non-league loss to East Union (Blue Springs, MS).
