Virginia High School Basketball - Southampton Academy bests Isle of Wight Academy
January 24, 2025: Isle of Wight, VA 23397 The Southampton Academy Raiders (Courtland, VA) basketball toppled the host Isle of Wight Academy Chargers (Isle of Wight, VA), 38-23 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Raiders now possess a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Brunswick Academy for a VISAA Division III bout on Tuesday, January 28. Southampton Academy will play a Vikings team coming off a 39-18 league win over Tidewater Academy (Wakefield, VA). The Vikings record now stands at 10-2.
With the loss, Isle of Wight Academy falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Chargers host Summit Christian Academy (Yorktown, VA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-9. Summit Christian Academy lost 68-6 in their recent non-league bout against Hampton Roads Academy (Newport News, VA)
