Kentucky High School Basketball - Menifee County thwarts Magoffin County
January 24, 2025: Salyersville, KY 41465 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Menifee County Wildcats (Frenchburg, KY) and the host Magoffin County Hornets (Salyersville, KY), observed Menifee County's basketball team knock off Magoffin County by a score of 63-46.
The Wildcats (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 13-5 record. In their last challenge, Montgomery County prevailed over Paintsville (Paintsville, KY), 56-39, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Hornets encounter the Floyd Central Jaguars (Eastern, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Magoffin County will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 67-61 league loss to Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY).
