January 24, 2025: Lubbock, TX 79423 The Caprock Longhorns (Amarillo, TX) soccer nipped the host Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX), 1-0 in Friday's league challenge.
The Longhorns now hold a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Palo Duro for a 5A Region 1 District 3 challenge on Monday, January 27. Caprock will encounter a Dons squad coming off a 4-0 league win over Plainview (Plainview, TX). The Dons record now stands at 5-3.
With the loss, Lubbock-Cooper moves to 7-2 on the year. The Pirates travel to Lubbock (Lubbock, TX) to encounter the Westerners in a 5A Region 1 District 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 28. The Westerners go into the challenge with a record of 1-6. Lubbock lost 2-0 in their recent league challenge against Amarillo (Amarillo, TX)
