New Jersey High School Basketball - Garfield nips Manchester Regional
January 25, 2022: Haledon, NJ 07508 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Garfield Boilermakers (Garfield, NJ) and the host Manchester Regional Falcons (Haledon, NJ), saw Garfield's basketball squad hold off Manchester Regional by a count of 41-39.
With the victory, Garfield upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Boilermakers host Hawthorne (Hawthorne, NJ) to play the Bears in a Bergen/Passaic - King challenge on Thursday, January 27. The Bears come into the challenge with a record of 2-2. Hawthorne won 70-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology (Paterson, NJ)
Next up, the Falcons play the Waldwick Warriors (Waldwick, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 28. Manchester Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
