Varnum Whippets (Seminole, OK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sasakwa Vikings (Sasakwa, OK), 78-63 in a league bout.

With the win, Varnum upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Whippets travel to Strother (Seminole, OK) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a Little River bout on Friday, January 28. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 7-1.

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Weleetka Outlaws (Weleetka, OK) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 28. Sasakwa will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
