Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA), 84-32 in a league bout.

With the win, Western Branch upgrades its record to 8-2 on the season. The Bruins travel to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA) to clash with the Grizzlies in a Southeastern bout on Thursday, January 27. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 2-4. Grassfield lost 57-26 in their recent league bout against Lakeland (Suffolk, VA)

Next up, the Hawks clash with the Cox Falcons (Virginia Beach, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 27. Hickory will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record.
