Lincoln Academy Eagles (Newcastle, ME) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mount View Mustangs (Thorndike, ME), 45-38 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln Academy upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Maranacook (Readfield, ME) to play the Black Bears in a B South bout on Friday, January 28. The Black Bears come into the bout with a record of 3-4.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Leavitt Hornets (Turner, ME) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 26. Mount View will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
