Utah High School Basketball - Monument Valley knocked off by Rock Point
January 25, 2023: Monument Valley, UT 84536 The Rock Point Cougars basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Monument Valley Cougars to 53 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Cougars now sport a 17-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Basis for a 1A North contest on Saturday, January 28. Rock Point will meet a Yeti team coming off a 52-24 league loss to Red Mesa (Teec Nos Pos, AZ). The Yeti record now stands at 3-17.
The Cougars (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Whitehorse (Montezuma Creek, UT). The Raiders enter the 1A Region 23 contest with a 5-9 record. In their last contest, Whitehorse ran past Pinnacle (Price, UT), 73-21, in a league contest.
