January 25, 2023: Scottsdale, AZ 85253 The Chaparral Firebirds soccer team scored 8 points and limited the visiting Desert Edge Scorpions to 0 in the Firebirds non-league victory on Wednesday.
Next, the Firebirds face the Verrado Vipers (Buckeye, AZ) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 27. Chaparral will attempt to better on its 3-1 season record. The Vipers enter the contest with a 5-1 record after their 1-1 non-league Millennium (Goodyear, AZ).
The Scorpions now have a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Canyon View for a contest on Tuesday, January 31. Desert Edge will face a Jaguars team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Verrado (Buckeye, AZ). The Jaguars record now stands at 0-2.
