Louisiana High School Basketball - Holden nips Benjamin Franklin
January 25, 2024: Holden, LA 70744 Holden Rockets (Holden, LA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Benjamin Franklin Falcons (New Orleans, LA), 39-34 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Holden upgrades its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Christ Episcopal School (Covington, LA) to play the Wildcats in a B District 7 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 2-5.
Next up, the Falcons play the Abramson Commodores (New Orleans, LA) in a 4A District 11 bout, on Monday, January 29. Benjamin Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 9-16 season record. The Commodores come into the bout with a 12-4 record after their 59-47 non-league win over Varnado (Angie, LA).
