January 25, 2024: Clinton, MD 20735 Thomas Stone Cougars (Waldorf, MD) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Grace Brethren Christian (Clinton, MD), 50-17 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Thomas Stone upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host North Point (Waldorf, MD) to play the Eagles in a Southern Maryland bout on Friday, January 26. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 9-4. North Point won 86-12 in their recent league bout against La Plata (La Plata, MD)
Next up, the play the Takoma Academy Tigers (Takoma Park, MD) in a Maryland Independent bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Grace Brethren Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 65-63 non-league win over Westlake Academy (Westlake, TX).
