McKay Royal Scots (Salem, OR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Albany Bulldogs (Albany, OR), 52-48 in a league bout.

With the win, McKay upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Royal Scots host Corvallis (Corvallis, OR) to play the Spartans in a 5A Mid-Willamette bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Corvallis won 65-50 in their recent league bout against Silverton (Silverton, OR)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Dallas Dragons (Dallas, OR) in a 5A Mid-Willamette bout, on Tuesday, January 30. West Albany will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 3-11 record after their 64-26 league loss to Silverton (Silverton, OR).
