January 25, 2025: Covington, VA 24426 In Saturday's non-league test, the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Loudoun Valley Vikings (Purcellville, VA), by a score of 80-71.
Next, the Cougars encounter the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) in a Three Rivers test, on Monday, January 27. Alleghany will attempt to improve on its 11-4 season record. The Cavaliers come into the test with a 15-0 record after their 72-49 non-league win over Galax (Galax, VA).
The Vikings (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Dominion (Sterling, VA). The Titans come into the Dulles test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Dominion went down by Woodgrove (Purcellville, VA), 61-41, in a non-league test.
