The Arts Jaguars basketball squad (Newark, NJ), was nudged 59-54 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting St. Joseph Regional Green Knights (Montvale, NJ)

With the victory, St. Joseph Regional advances its record to 9-5 on the year. The Green Knights host NV - Old Tappan (Old Tappan, NJ) to meet the Golden Knights in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Golden Knights enter the battle with a record of 8-6. NV - Old Tappan won 61-57 in their recent non-league battle against Dwight-Englewood (Englewood, NJ)

The Jaguars now own a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seton Hall Prep for a Super Essex - American battle on Wednesday, January 29. Arts will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 65-62 league win over St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, NJ). The Pirates record now stands at 12-3.
