North Central Knights (Kershaw, SC) fans went home pleased Saturday as they observed their basketball team edge the host Buford Yellow Jackets (Lancaster, SC), 60-57 in a league challenge.

The Knights (1-12) will now prepare for their challenge against York Prep (Rock Hill, SC). The Patriots come into the AA Region 4 challenge with a 12-8 record. In their last challenge, York Prep was tipped by Central (Pageland, SC), 71-66, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets encounter the Cheraw Braves (Cheraw, SC) in a AA Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Buford will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Braves come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 67-51 league loss to Andrew Jackson (Kershaw, SC).
