Illinois High School Basketball - Goreville victorious over St. Mary
January 25, 2025: Goreville, IL 62939 In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Goreville Blackcats basketball team scored a good 73-62 triumph over the St. Mary Vikings.
The Blackcats (16-2) will now prepare for their contest against Trico (Campbell Hill, IL). The Pioneers go into the Black Diamond - West contest with a 4-16 record. In their last contest, Trico topped Marissa/Coulterville (Marissa, IL), 41-36, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings confront the McCracken County Mustangs (Paducah, KY) in a District 2 contest, on Tuesday, January 28. St. Mary will attempt to better on its 11-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the contest with a 11-8 record after their 64-53 non-league loss to Marshall County (Benton, KY).
