The Grant Lancers basketball squad (Van Nuys, CA), was nudged 64-63 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host West Ranch Wildcats (Valencia, CA)

With the victory, West Ranch advances its record to 10-12 on the year. The Wildcats host Valencia (Valencia, CA) to meet the Vikings in a Foothill battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 9-15. Valencia won 78-42 in their recent league battle against Castaic (Castaic, CA)

The Lancers now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chavez for a East Valley battle on Monday, January 27. Grant will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 100-23 league loss to Poly (Sun Valley, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-10.
