New York High School Basketball - Iona Prep routs St. Joseph-by-the-Sea
January 25, 2025: Staten Island, NY 10312 In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Iona Prep Gaels basketball team scored a big 57-35 win over the St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings.
The Gaels (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Cardinal Hayes (Bronx, NY). The Cardinals come into the Catholic AA - New York contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Cardinal Hayes was trounced by Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, NY), 73-72, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the St. Edmund Prep Eagles (Brooklyn, NY) in a Catholic A - North contest, on Tuesday, January 28. St. Joseph-by-the-Sea will attempt to better on its 10-6 season record.
