January 25, 2025: Lone Grove, OK 73443 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Varnum Whippets (Seminole, OK) and the host Lone Grove Longhorns (Lone Grove, OK), observed Varnum's basketball team overwhelm Lone Grove by a score of 67-41.
The Whippets (17-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Sasakwa (Sasakwa, OK). The Vikings come into the Little River challenge with a 14-2 record. In their last challenge, Sasakwa trounced Moyers (Moyers, OK), 67-59, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Longhorns battle the Plainview Indians (Ardmore, OK) in a Lake Country bout, on Tuesday, January 28. Lone Grove will attempt to move on its 6-10 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 47-40 non-league win over Tuttle (Tuttle, OK).
