Iowa High School Basketball - Waterloo East toppled by Marquette
January 25, 2025: Waterloo, IA 50703 Marquette Defenders (Bellevue, IA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Waterloo East Trojans (Waterloo, IA), 79-68 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Marquette advances its record to 16-0 on the year. The Defenders travel to Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA) to face the Warriors in a Tri-Rivers match on Friday, January 31. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 8-9.
The Trojans now own a 8-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marshalltown for a non-league match on Friday, January 31.
