In Saturday's non-league contest, the host White Bear Lake Bears basketball team scored a close 61-57 triumph over the St. Thomas Academy Cadets.

The Bears (15-8) will now prepare for their contest against East Ridge (Woodbury, MN). The Raptors go into the AAAA Section 4 contest with a 10-5 record. In their last contest, East Ridge nipped Roseville (Roseville, MN), 96-66, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cadets battle the Tartan Titans (Oakdale, MN) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, January 30. St. Thomas Academy will attempt to better on its 8-6 season record.
