January 25, 2025: Verbena, AL 36091 The Verbena Red Devils (Verbena, AL) basketball were winner over the visiting Gaylesville Trojans (Gaylesville, AL), 44-34 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Red Devils now possess a 5-15 record. They play next when they travel to Beulah for a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 29. Verbena will play a Bobcats team coming off a 53-39 non-league loss to Horseshoe Bend (New Site, AL). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-10.
With the loss, Gaylesville drops to 0-15 on the year. The Trojans travel to Ohatchee (Ohatchee, AL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league outing on Monday, January 27. The Indians enter the outing with a record of 12-9. Ohatchee lost 45-34 in their recent non-league outing against Anniston (Anniston, AL)
