January 25, 2025: Kewanee, IL 61443 The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL) and the host Kewanee Boilermakers (Kewanee, IL), observed Rock Island's basketball team knock off Kewanee by a score of 71-52.
The Rocks (11-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Alleman (Rock Island, IL). The Pioneers come into the Western Big 6 challenge with a 17-7 record.
In their next game, the Boilermakers encounter the Hall Red Devils (Spring Valley, IL) in a Three Rivers - East challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Kewanee will attempt to improve on its 15-9 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 15-9 record after their 43-14 league win over Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL).
