The Russell Red Devils (Russell, KY) basketball edged the host Knott County Central Patriots (Hindman, KY), 50-45 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Red Devils now possess a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Lewis County for a District 63 bout on Tuesday, January 28. Russell will play a Lions team coming off a 54-35 non-league win over Bourbon County (Paris, KY). The Lions record now stands at 8-8.
