January 25, 2025: New Castle, VA 24127 James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Craig County Rockets (New Castle, VA), 49-30 in a non-league match.
With the victory, James River advances its record to 3-5 on the year. The Knights travel to Floyd County (Floyd, VA) to face the Buffaloes in a non-league match on Monday, January 27. The Buffaloes enter the match with a record of 7-3. Floyd County won 62-40 in their recent non-league match against Magna Vista (Ridgeway, VA)
The Rockets now own a 0-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bath County for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Craig County will face a Chargers squad coming off a 52-36 non-league loss to Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 2-8.
