Fans at Wednesday's league challenge between the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) and the visiting Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), saw Bessemer City's basketball squad wallop Highland Tech by a tally of 78-36.

With the victory, Bessemer City improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Cherryville (Cherryville, NC) to play the Ironmen in a 1A/2A Conference 40 challenge on Friday, January 28. The Ironmen come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. Cherryville lost 72-50 in their recent league challenge against Shelby (Shelby, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 40 challenge, on Thursday, January 27. Highland Tech will attempt to improve on its 2-13 season record. The Golden Lions come into the challenge with a 8-3 record after their 80-70 league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC).
