In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Hanover Hornets basketball team scored a good 59-43 triumph over the Las Animas Trojans.

In their next game, the Hornets meet the Pikes Peak Christian Eagles (Colorado Springs, CO) in a 1A Black Forrest match, on Thursday, January 27. Hanover will attempt to better on its 9-1 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 5-5 record after their 72-62 league loss to Evangelical Christian (Colorado Springs, CO).
