The Placer Hillmen basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Nevada Union Miners to 66 in the Hillmen league triumph on Wednesday.

The Hillmen now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rio Linda for a Foothill Valley contest on Friday, January 28. Placer will battle a Knights team coming off a 101-53 league loss to Ponderosa (Shingle Springs, CA). The Knights record now stands at 9-7.

The Miners (8-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lincoln (Lincoln, CA). The Fighting Zebras enter the Foothill Valley contest with a 15-5 record. In their last contest, Lincoln was nudged by Oakmont (Roseville, CA), 65-50, in a league contest.
