The Menendez Falcons topped the host Matanzas Pirates basketball team by a final score of 36-22 in Wednesday's league game.

In their next game, the Falcons face the Ponte Vedra Sharks (Ponte Vedra, FL) in a non-league game, on Thursday, January 27. Menendez will attempt to move on its 14-9 season record. The Sharks enter the game with a 14-7 record after their 61-24 non-league win over St. Joseph Academy (St. Augustine, FL).

With the defeat, Matanzas moves to 4-15 on the year. The Pirates host Seabreeze (Daytona Beach, FL) to face the Sandcrabs in a 5A District 4 game on Friday, January 28.
