The Higley Knights basketball team (Gilbert, AZ), was nudged 73-71 in Thursday's league battle with the host Mountain Pointe Pride (Phoenix, AZ)

The Pride now sport a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Casteel for a 5A San Tan battle on Tuesday, January 31. Mountain Pointe will battle a Colts team coming off a 57-41 league win over Williams Field (Gilbert, AZ). The Colts record now stands at 14-9.

The Knights (8-13) will now prepare for their battle against Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ). The Coyotes come into the 5A San Tan battle with a 20-3 record. In their last battle, Campo Verde edged Casa Grande (Casa Grande, AZ), 74-58, in a league battle.
