Michigan High School Basketball - Monroe tops Morenci
January 26, 2023: Morenci, MI 49256 Monroe Trojans (Monroe, MI) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Morenci Bulldogs (Morenci, MI), 71-53 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Monroe upgrades its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Skyline (Ann Arbor, MI) to play the Eagles in a Southeastern - Red bout on Friday, January 27. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 4-5. Skyline won 54-23 in their recent league bout against Dexter (Dexter, MI)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Britton Deerfield Patriots (Britton, MI) in a Lenawee County bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Morenci will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 66-63 league win over Summerfield (Petersburg, MI).
