The Bishop Montgomery Knights (Torrance, CA) basketball nipped the host La Salle Lancers (Pasadena, CA), 51-45 in Thursday's league test.

The Knights (19-6) will now prepare for their test against Serra (Gardena, CA). The Cavaliers go into the Del Rey test with a 2-20 record.

The Lancers now own a 22-3 record. They play next when they travel to Serra for a Del Rey test on Tuesday, January 31. La Salle will encounter a Cavaliers squad coming off a 70-18 league loss to St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-20.
