Desert Hills Thunder (St. George, UT) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Cedar Reds (Cedar City, UT), 56-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Desert Hills upgrades its record to 8-9 on the season. The Thunder host Hurricane (Hurricane, UT) to play the Tigers in a 4A Region 10 bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Hurricane lost 46-45 in their recent league bout against Dixie (St. George, UT)

Next up, the Reds play the Crimson Cliffs Mustangs (Washington, UT) in a 4A Region 10 bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Cedar will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 2-10 record after their 72-38 league loss to Snow Canyon (St. George, UT).
